OUR HISTORY

We are an independent congregation that is affiliated with the Church of God, Anderson, Indiana. Our history dates back to home prayer meetings that began in 1946. By 1957, four families had begun meeting together in the rented Union Hall for the first Church of God service in Reedsport. On March 28, 1965, the first services were held in our new building at its present location. Over the years, many people from many different church backgrounds have joined our congregation, and many people in town consider us the “community church.” It’s a designation we’re comfortable with, and we welcome everyone to come and see what our “community” looks like.
