Everyone knows someone who has had cancer. Lucky for us, a diagnosis is no longer an instantaneous death sentence. A big part of this is due to the American Cancer Society. They are celebrating their 100th Anniversary this year, and have made so many contributions to cancer research, diagnosis, and treatments that cancer no longer has to mean the end of life.

Relay For Life is fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. It is a 24-hour event that celebrates Survivors, remembers those we've lost to cancer, and pledges to continue the fight. It was started to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society, and all of its research, education, advocacy and services.  The Relay For Life event itself is a great community event, bringing in thousands of people in a carnival-like atmosphere of games, food, raffles and costumes - all in the name of fighting cancer.

This year's Relay For Life will begin at 10:00 a.m. on May 18 and end at 10:00 a.m. on May 19, at Central Park in Santa Clarita. Please join us to Celebrate - Remember - Fight Back!
