About Us
The Reynolds Drive-In Theatre opened during the late 50's heyday of the American Drive-in, but as was the case with more than 80% of America's drive-ins, it eventually went dark. Still, those who believe it's better to light a Drive-in than curse the darkness, will appreciate the re-emergence of the American Drive-in, as has been evident over the past few years.
The Reynolds Drive-In Theatre reopened in 1988, contributing to what can now be described as a 'renaissance' or the rebirth of the American Drive-in. The resurrected Reynolds has an 86-foot wide screen, with parking for up to 550 cars on a 12-acre facility. Audio for movie soundtracks is provided through FM (90.5) vicinity radio.
The Reynolds Drive-In movie slate consists primarily of first-run films (fliks that are fresh out of the can and opening for the first time on the theatre circuit), occasionally double-billed with recent releases that are still current. They screen double features each nite for the same admission price, and periodically or for Holiday weekends they will schedule special events or will screen triple features.
