Vision Statement
Rincon Valley Union School District provides all students an exemplary academic education and the foundation to become productive citizens of their community.
Mission Statement
The Rincon Valley Union School District pursues excellence in education through a differentiated curriculum focusing on rigor, relevance, and relationships. The District provides a solid foundation for every student through the development of critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.
The Rincon Valley Union School District is located in the heart of Sonoma County and serves the children, parents, and community living in the northeastern section of Santa Rosa.
The district’s dedicated faculty and staff provide an excellent learning environment for the approximately 2700 kindergarten through sixth grade students attending our eight elementary schools.
After completing the sixth grade, our students and parents have a choice of instructional programs as they begin their secondary education. The Rincon Valley Charter School offers a unique learning environment for approximately 160 seventh and eighth grade students. The Charter School provides a strong academic program with an emphasis on technology and project-based learning.
The Santa Rosa City School District offers a more traditional junior high program for our students at Slater Middle School and Rincon Valley Middle School.
The Rincon Valley Union School District has a strong tradition of academic excellence and preparing children to be lifelong learners. We are committed to pursuing excellence in education with a challenging curriculum for all of our students.
