Rivera library was founded in 1913 and has been at its present location since 1970. The library is located in a predominately Hispanic neighborhood, with heavy usage by children. Rivera is the smaller of the two libraries in the city of Pico Rivera.
Collection
Rivera Library's collection is comprised of 36,280 books, 58 magazine and newspaper subscriptions, and 4,400 audiovisual items (books on tape; videos; audio recordings; DVDs and compact discs). Other materials include college catalogs, telephone directories, pamphlets, large-print materials, and Spanish books for adults and children.
Services
Services available to customers include adult and children's reference services and programming, and access to Spanish and audio-visual materials and two public access Internet computers. In addition, a coin-operated copy machine and typewriter are available for public use.

The Rivera library is 6,910 square feet. The meeting room capacity is 43. The library is handicapped accessible.
