The Riverside School offers a nurturing, supportive environment in which students gain a high level of confidence and respect for others. We challenge students to meet their highest potential and invite them to make choices about their course of study and independent learning. We help students to find delight in the blend of arts, academic, physical and social activities. Our graduates move on with a sense of purpose and a social conscience. They can articulate plans, interests and skills while also making choices to enhance their communities and personal lives. They often win high academic, artistic, and technical awards at Lyndon Institute, St. Johnsbury Academy, and other fine secondary schools. Our students come from Vermont and New Hampshire towns within a 45-mile radius. Tuition for 2006-2007 is $11,000, often supported by towns of school-choice and the school’s scholarship fund. Among the supporters of our scholarship fund are the alumni, the Turrell Fund and many anonymous donors.The Riverside School employs engaged, creative, well-educated lifelong learners who love children, and the school welcomes and depends on parent involvement throughout the year.
