Our Mission:
The Rock Environmental Center is a 230-acre private, not-for-profit environmental facility, whose purpose is to develop and promote environmental awareness.

Our desire is to build a program and facility that will improve the quality of life by exciting, motivating and challenging individuals to explore the world around them. The Rock Environmental Staff believe that everything has a purpose and a design. Through hands-on and/or adult-led activities each guest will be presented with nature and our hope is that their knowledge and understanding of nature and the environment and their relationship with them will be stimulated and enhanced.

We are committed to conserve the natural character of our property and local wildlife. We will manage our property to protect and restore native species and ecosystems. Low-impact activities such as hiking, nature study and photography will be enjoyed in the company of staff personnel.

Original research in the fields of pond and forest ecosystems is central to the Center's goal of improving and communicating environmental awareness and land stewardship.
