Rolling Fork Farm
Rolling Fork Farm CSA shares include a variety of fresh organic vegetables. The selection varies with the season. The Full Shares come in a half- bushel basket and the Half Shares will be presented in a quarter bushel basket. We will deliver the Shares every week to a distribution location in Danville and Lexington from May through October. Our produce will reflect our very high standards for cleanliness and quality, no overgrown zucchini here! For members who would like to recieve our fresh eggs or add local grass fed beef, pork, or pastured chicken to their shares those options are available. We encourage our CSA members to come out and visit the farm during the summer, see how the farm is doing and get a feel for how the food is being grown. Some members do help out on the farm though we don't have a work requirement. We will inform members about farm projects that they may take part in if they wish. We are a small family farm on thirty acres in beautiful Forkland Kentucky. We grow a large variety of organic produce for local markets and our CSA. We use greenhouses for season extension, producing seedlings for transplanting in our fields as well as greenhouse tomatoes and cherry tomatoes. Specialty field crops include: Salad greens with edible flowers, fingerling potatoes, sweet carrots, and culinary herbs. We will be putting in strawberries this season and expect to have fruit available next year. We practice sustainable organic agriculture with a four year rotation and intensive cover cropping to maintain our good soil. We are absolutely committed to organic growing. We are raising premium pastured chicken and are currently taking orders for delivery in central Kentucky mid November 08.
