The Rotary Club of Farmington is involved in a variety of projects in our local community. We award college scholarships annually to Farmington Students and sponsor an annual Literacy Project through our local school system. We also provide support through service and giving to other charitable, humanitarian, and community organizations such as the Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity, the Farmington Library, the Farmington Valley VNA, Loaves and Fishes, and the Farmington Land Trust to name just a few. In 2003 we provided the leadership to organize, and sponsorship for, the Farmington High School InterAct Club (Interact is Rotary International's service club for young people ages 14-18). Through our involvement with Rotary International we contribute to international projects such as the campaign for global eradication of polio, and other international humanitarian programs providing for educational and cultural exchanges.

Funds to help support these programs are raised through our club's participation in a variety of fund raisers.

Numerous opportunities are available for new members to get involved in community programs. Membership is by invitation, and members are chosen to represent their respective business or profession providing a cross section of the Farmington Community. Visitors are always welcome.
