History:
The history of St. Bernadette Church, located in Amelia, Ohio, is rich and colorful. We began as the St. Bernadette Mission, and still continue to be a member of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Our first Mass was celebrated on D-Day, June 6, 1944. Back then, Mass was held in a small building known as the “Little House in the Woods” located on five acres of land. A school opened in September, 1944 which still continues to offer quality education to our students in a Christian environment. The time, talent and treasures that our members have provided to St. Bernadette through the years have united us in faith and spirit and will continue to do so for years to come.
