Mission Statement
"We, the monks of +Saint Leo Abbey+ in Florida inspired by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the teachings of the Catholic Church, and the Rule of Saint Benedict, are a monastic community bound together by a common hope in the Kingdom of God." We strive to bear witness together with the Church in Florida to the ever-abiding presence of God and his love for all creation. We are committed to the gospel through a monastic life of prayer and work as we seek God.
Our monastic community Serves the People of God through Benedictine hospitality and Christian Charity. We welcome all Guests to share in our daily prayers of the divine office, The liturgy of the Mass, Retreat Center programs and Good Works.
We strive to meet the spiritual needs of individuals, groups and parishes throughout Florida by conducting various apostolic labors and by offering the gift of our total environment, which provides an oasis for God's people to make pilgrimages and retreats, and find wholeness, rejuvenation and recommitment in their lives.
