Saint Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church was organized in 1879 by the Reverend J. C. Moser with eighteen members on role. The first church, a wooden structure, was erected on Miller Road during the spring of 1880 and dedicated on October 3, 1880. In the of 1923, the congregation relocated to the present site. This structure was destroyed by fire on October 24, 1954. The present building was built between 1955 and 1956. The building was dedicated on August 11, 1963
