Salem Lutheran Church is a congregation of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) with strong roots in the Sycamore area.  Salem has a strong tradition of Christian Education for youth of 3 years and older including Sunday School at 9:15 a.m. Sunday mornings, and Wednesday evening Confirmation training for middle school students.  Salem Creative Arts Ministries includes choirs for youth and adults 4 years old and up, a Puppet Team, Handbells, and a Praise Team.

Worship services are held weekly at 5:00 p.m. Saturdays, and 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. Sundays with Holy Communion at each service and all are welcome. 

Salem Community Outreach includes a Food Pantry available to DeKalb County residents Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 9:00-11:45 a.m.

Salem Lutheran Church enjoys a companion congregation relationship with the Kjenge Parish of Arusha, Tanzania, part of the ELCT (Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania).

Salem welcomes all people to faith and mission in Jesus Christ.  Visitors are most welcome; new member classes are offered throughout the year.
