Sanpete Valley Hospital has a rich history of providing quality healthcare to our Sanpete County community for more than 65 years.
Hospital Origins
In 1949, the original Sanpete Valley Hospital was built on Main Street in Mount Pleasant, Utah, as a result of donations raised by local members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS).
In 1975, when the LDS Church made the decision to donate all of their hospitals to the public, Intermountain Healthcare, Inc., took over the management of Sanpete Valley Hospital as well as the other hospitals across Utah.
