Seeking Common Ground is a non-profit educational organization that sponsors a Community Garden at Shimmering Light Farm in Naples, NY. Over 30 members plan, plant, tend, and celebrate an organic harvest of vegetables, fruits, honey and free-range eggs. Monthly barn dances, seasonal celebrations and educational events for the larger community round out the experience. SCG also sponsors Herb Haven and a Farm-to-Cafeteria program. Herb Haven is a special herb gardening/healing/crafting job training program offered to under-served populations locally. The Farm-to-Cafeteria program connects local farmers with institutional cafeterias at local schools, colleges, care facilities and businesses. We'd love to see ya at the farm!
