We are a 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit organization. Our purpose is to provide educational, literary and cultural opportunities that will benefit the community of Seville and surrounding areas.
Our goal is to enrich the community through the continued development of our Seville Community Resource Center by providing opportunities for educational, literary, cultural and charitable outreach. We are well on our way with the "Little Pandas" Daycare Center operating in our building, twice weekly Tae Kwon Do classes held in our gymnasium, Zumba classess held weekly and our newly renovated and ready for use Lending Library. We have been collecting items that will one day be part of a museum display that are specific to Seville's rich history.
The Seville Community Resource Center is housed in the century old Seville Public School building (listed on the Volusia County Historic Register), in which our children were educated and nurtured for 94 years. One of its most enduring qualities is the original school bell which rang twice daily, marking the beginning and end of each school day, from 1914 until the school closed on June 6th, 2008. Thankfully, because of Little Pandas, that school bell still rings!
The multipurpose room and gymnasium, as well as our Seville VIA Hall, are available for community use. If interested in renting either of these spaces please contact us for details.
We meet the 1st Thursday of every month at 7 pm in our historic century old school building. Any person interested in the betterment of our community is eligible to become a voting member.
This is just the beginning of what we believe will be the cornerstone for the revitalization of Seville. Please consider volunteering your time and talents to this worthy goal.
