Regional milling and seed cleaning disappeared over the last 50 years. In its place US agriculture's "get big or get out"* approach to farming paved the way for today's distant and huge grain elevators lled with low-nutrition GMO grains and beans. A model regional scale system will make it possible for everyone can have food that's Good, Clean, & Fair. 

By building an alternative to the cheap food movement that has undermined farms and farm workers for decades, we are supplying open-pollinated seed and premium pricing to Ohio's organic farmers. The Crops

CorN & Popcorn date back thousands of years in the Americas. We prefer old varieties because of the superior nutrition and avor of their native ancestors. 

It's no wonder Black Turtle Beans have been a staple of Central and South America for 7,000 years. They have the highest anti-oxidants of any bean.

Adzuki Beans are central to Asian recipes, as well as the Macrobiotic Diet. Antioxidants, lots of dietary ber, and protein regulate your glucose levels.

Spelt is like the "Great Aunt" of modern wheat that retains its ancient, wild traits including more protein, ber, and B vitamins, not to mention a richer, sweeter avor than wheat. And Ohio grows most of the nation's spelt.

We are proud to oer Pinto Beans, a soup bean of the Appalachians and an HeIrloom Popcorn that has been grown in Appalachia for many generations.

Buckwheat is an excellent cover crop and food that was rst domesticated & cultivated in SE Asia more than 7000 years ago. It's not a grain, although it has long been used like one. Gluten free, alkaline, and a great source of manganese, magnesium, copper, and dietary ber. it contains all eight essential amino acids, including lysine.
