To meet the holistic needs of each congregant within the Shining Light Missionary Baptist Church Family.

To foster the spirit of unity in the Christian Faith; to worship in the spirit of beauty and holiness. To provoke worship, praise, and thanksgiving to God.

To religiously educate in such a way that each person may experience and grow in personal relationship and commitment to God through Jesus Christ.

To empower, enrich, and encourage the down-trodden by creating an environment where worship and praise can occur in the vernacular of a people whose worship and praise is expressive and pure, through sound biblical teaching, preaching, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and by serving the Greater East Saint Louis community and beyond.
