Mission Statement
Shrewsbury Youth Soccer will support soccer players, coaches, referees and volunteers by providing appropriate programs and opportunities to help the individuals achieve their potential while employing the principles of "fair play."

The goal of SYS  is to create and foster a positive and fun-filled environment for players, coaches, officials and parents, to strive for the highest standard of skill and sportsmanship, to develop and train referees for all levels of competition, and to provide a program for both the novice and advanced players.

SYS Objectives and Philosophy
SYS seeks to fulfill its mission through the pursuit of the following objectives and philosophy:

• All SYS players should have opportunity to play.
• Skill development, fitness and having fun are important goals for SYS and its players and coaches.
• Cultivating passion for the game of soccer is a goal for SYS.
• SYS must be a "child-centered" program in order to promote personal achievement, teamwork development and fair play.
• SYS is competitive, but sportsmanship is an important goal for the program.
• SYS strives to have the highest quality soccer program.
