Our Vision

We believe God’s ultimate vision for SBC involves the growing (Matthew 16:18) of a fully-functioning (Ephesians 4:11-12) Body of Believers bearing much fruit (John 15:8) as we grow into maturity (Colossians 1:28-29).

*Growing -The church is always a work in process, as Christ draws people to Himself, equips them for service, and sends them out in ministry.*Fully-functioning-In Christ’s church every member is a minister, where the leaders equip people for service and together we use our gifts in service.*Fruit-As Christ’s church functions fully others are introduced to Jesus and we become more like Him in our character. (Galatians 5:22-23)

*Maturity-As the vision for the church is realized it will be evident in several ways:r Grounded: New believers will be demonstrating their commitment in baptism.r Growing: Church members will be growing in Christ and with each other in small groups.r Giving: Like Jesus people will be active in serving others.r Going: As a light in the world we will be a witness in our community and the world.

Our immediate vision includes being good managers of the resources God has given to us (Mathew 25:14-30). We believe our property was a gift from God to be used for His purposes, and envision facilities that serve our children’s, youth, and adult needs. After the completion of PromiseLand for our children an adult Ministry Center including classrooms, offices, and a multi-purpose auditorium will be constructed. Our present Family Life Center will be renovated to serve our Student Ministry needs. Throughout this process we desire to be an increasing light in our community through our networking with other churches and in our world through participation in missions that establish reproducing churches.
