Mission:

Southern Crescent Resource Minitries is a ministry to provide resources to churches, Christian food banks, and night shelters. We have assisted in disaster relief to different areas.

History:

Southern Crescent Resource Ministry began operation in April 1994 as a Ministry of South Gate Community Church located in Stockbridge, GA.  Southern Crescent has since become a separate entity. The necessary documents were filed to become a 501(C)3 non profit organization with the IRS.  This ministry is governed by a Board of Directors.

Through the years the ministry has grown from 20 to over 115 members and from a part time Director, to a full time Director and a part time secretary and many volunteers that without whom the ministry could not operate.  This ministry has been truly blessed of the Lord; and through much prayer and patience we have seen God do miraculous things. God has allowed us to move from renting an open shed to buying a 10,000 S.F. warehouse located at 112 Park West Drive, McDonough, GA. God was so good to answer every minute detail of our prayer, that we could find a location easy and convenient for delivery and distribution near the expressway. The warehouse is approximately mile from I-75. The ministry is adding equipment to help in the distribution process as money allows. We have been able to pay for a fork lift, tractor, refrigerated and dry trailer to aid in the distribution of goods.  Many thanks to all who are part of the process and success of this ministry.
