Our Mission is: “To Assist Children with Special needs in Reaching their Full Potential through Interaction with Horses”.

SpiritHorse, an award-winning equine-assisted therapeutic horseback riding program, provides services to 450 children and adults from ten counties in the Greater Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex each week at our facilities in Corinth, just north of Dallas. We are unique in that SpiritHorse is the only center in America that provides all one-on-one therapeutic horseback riding services free of charge to people with disabilities, children who are victims of abuse, at-risk-youth, youth after drug rehab, teens with eating disorders, and battered women. SpiritHorse is a 501(c)-3 IRS tax exempt organization. We currently serve more children, free of charge, than any center in the world.

SpiritHorse provides far more than recreation, we provide therapy, love and healing. We believe the nicest thing said about SpiritHorse was a comment by Will’s Mom to a reporter: “This is a place where they believe in our kids”. In five years of operation we have joyously heard 33 children speak their first word on one of our ponies (many of which are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder), have seen 28 children walk for the first time (many of whom medical professionals considered hopeless), and 26 children sit up for the first time.
