Spreading Oaks Farm is a small family-owned farm located 20 minutes west of Atlanta in Paulding County. We have a small herd of Belted Galloway beef cattle, a flock of free-range laying hens, and a variety of fresh vegetables and herbs available to our CSA members and the local farmers market. We are striving to produce healthy alternatives for our local community. In 2011 we will also offer assistance to individuals in garden design and soil preparation for small home gardens, as well as classes in canning and preserving your harvest.
We are currently accepting applications for our 2011 season. Applications are available by emailing us at the email link below. We will consider a drop off point close to any group of 5 or more members.
Each week members will receive 6 to 8 different varieties of fresh vegetables. A sample May basket might contain: sugar snap peas, brocolli, cabbage, cauliflower, lettuce, green onions, spinach, radishes. A mid-summer basket might contain: green beans, lima beans, corn peppers, squash, zucchini, tomatoes, okra, peas, cucumbers.
