Beliefs
We believe that rules insure a child's physical and emotional well-being; therefore, it is the responsibility of the school to set rules and require standards of behavior that reflects these rules.
We believe that proper discipline insures each child's right to a healthy learning environment; therefore, children must accept responsibility and maintain self-control. No student will keep others from learning nor teachers from teaching.
We believe that a low student-teacher ratio is necessary for successful student achievement.
We believe that our school and curriculum should provide a variety of experiences and activities that encourage problem solving, decision making, and independent and higher order thinking skills.
We believe that our school and faculty should provide opportunities for students to assume responsibilities in order to promote maturity, independence, and good citizenship.
We believe that our curriculum should extend beyond the basics to include the use of community resources, instruction in the fine arts and physical education, and activities enhancing social development.
We believe that children have different abilities and learn in different ways and should be encouraged to reach their fullest potential. The creativity of students should be cultivated and respected.
