On behalf of our shooting club members and their elected officers, I welcome you to the Springfield Tactical Shooters (STS) website. This website will provide you with a wide range of information about our club and the shooting discipline of practical shooting as defined by the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA,) and the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC). There is a lot of information located here, but please don’t get overwhelmed. The officers and members of STS simply want to get new shooters involved, grow our tactical shooting sport, and mostly want to educate people about the world of responsible and safe firearm usage.

We are a family oriented shooting club. We welcome anyone who has interest; no specialized firearms training or advanced shooting experience is required. All we ask is that you come with an open mind to learn, ask many questions and understand and follow the safety protocols. Proper firearm safety is our highest priority.

Many of our members are from Sangamon County, and especially the Springfield IL area. However, our membership base extends throughout the surrounding Central Illinois counties; including Menard, Logan, Macon, Christian, Montgomery, Macoupin, Morgan, and Cass. All are welcome.
