Spring-Ford Intermediate School

833 South Lewis Road
610-705-6003

We currently have close to eleven hundred 5th & 6th grade students. The building is completely wired for technology and contains four state of the art computer labs. We, as a building and a school district, are striving to provide your youngsters with the most up-to-date instruction in technology. All 5th & 6th grade students are currently receiving instruction in technology applications once every six days. This includes word processing, spreadsheets, desk top publishing, and telecommunications. Our students also receive computer assisted learning through the Compass Learning System.

Instructionally, our school is organized by teams. Each team name reflects an American theme: Colonists, Explorers, and Patriots in 5th grade; and Pioneers, Settlers, and Trailblazers in 6th grade. Each team is made up of three or four teacher pairs and learning support staff. All of our students receive major subject instruction in language arts/reading, language arts/English, mathematics, science, and social studies. In addition, our students receive instruction in the following special subject areas: art, music, health, physical education, technology applications, and Globe environmental science. Our school offers many extra-curricular activities, which include instrumental and vocal groups in both grades, intramural sports, school newspaper, yearbook, and a variety of clubs.

The staff and the community of the Spring-Ford Intermediate School are extremely excited about the programs we have for our students. We welcome your input as your youngsters travel through our school.
