Mission Statement:
St. Jerome church is the center of worship for a suburban parish which was established as a mission chapel serving the summer seaside residents of North Weymouth in the late 1800's. It now serves the spiritual and pastoral needs of 1700 families who, in general, have a strong sense of dedication to parish, school and religious education, and participate in it's spiritual and social activities through personal presence, active involvement and financial support.
As a community of believers, we recognize that though we are many, we are one in Christ who strengthens and empowers us through Eucharist and the Word. Thus enabled, we reach out with love and compassion in the various ministries to share our gifts with others, within and beyond our boundaries. We witness to the presence and love of Jesus by our care and service, in order to foster the spiritual life and renewal of the Parish.
Our goal is to nurture and sustain our faith, to continue the development of our spiritual and moral values and to evangelize through perseverance and good example, so that those on the fringes of parish society will have their belief in and love of God revitalized through our ministry.
