At St. Peter's Church in the Great Valley we emphasize three themes:
Worship, Education, and Outreach. In worship we encounter God; in Christian education we learn what it means to be disciples of Jesus; and through outreach we put all that we profess into action for the community and the world.
You are warmly welcomed to wend your way through this ancient valley and worship with us at St. Peter's Church. May you find God here and be found by Him.
Purpose of the St. Peter's Church in the Great Valley:
St. Peter's Church in the Great Valley was founded in 1704 by the Venerable Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts, and has served as a sacred place of worship ever since. It is from this peaceful, historic setting that we carry forth our mission.
Mission of the St. Peter's Church in the Great Valley:
The mission of St. Peter's Church is, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to nurture people of all ages in the knowledge and love of God in Jesus Christ, and to make Him known in the wider community.
We pursue this mission through corporate worship, fellowship, outreach, Christian education, music, and the Christian example set by each member wherever they may be.
William Penn received a royal charter from King Charles II to establish Pennsylvania in 1681.
