St. Rose of Lima Parish was founded in 1848 to care for the Irish immigrants who were settling in the town of Meriden.  Since its founding, St. Rose of Lima has been the spiritual home for generations of Meriden Catholic, as well as embracing our newest sisters and brothers, who have made our city their home. 

We are a multicultural community dedicated to providing a welcoming and faith-filled experience for all who wish to worship in the Roman Catholic Rite of Christianity.  Our Mission statement (above) reminds us to never lose heart in our faith endeavors. Our Mission statement reflects the spirit of St. Rose of Lima: "Live  the Moment for God."
