At Stanton Christian Church, our hearts beat for Jesus Christ. We desire to bring the gospel message to Powell County one family at a time. We pray for each other, the community, and the nation. We diligently study God's Word. We work to build each other up in the joy of the Lord. And we strive to heed Christ's call to take care of our neighbors' physical and spiritual needs in Powell County and beyond. At our core, we're a family devoted to Jesus Christ.

SCC is a non-denominational church that was founded in Powell County nearly 200 years ago as part of a worldwide movement to restore the essentials of biblical Christianity.  We believe in Jesus Christ as the divine Son of God and our Lord and Savior.  We accept the Bible as the inspired record of God's revelation to humanity.  We seek to lead our lives in faithfulness and devotion to God.  We are not fundamentalist nor modernists.  We are simply CHRISTIANS ONLY.  Because we are an independent church, we have no governing authority other than God as revealed through his Word, the Bible.

As a church, we strive to worship God to the fullest.  We work to know him more through his Word.  ANd we desire to love one another, both in the church and in the community, with our whole hearts.
