Beliefs:

At State Street there are  core values that define how we function and what we believe. While this is not a comprehensive list of beliefs it is a broad overview of those things that we hold as important and that direct the course of our ministries.  There is also a church covenant that is a guideline of church membership expectations.

Values:

Glorifying: Glorifying God means to acknowledge His Greatness and give Him Honor by praising and worshiping Him in every area of our life.

1 Corinthians 10:31, “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

Growing: Growing in our relationship with Christ Jesus occurs when we actively seek to become better equipped through God’s Word.  The process includes studying it, praying through it, and being obedient to it through the power of the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 3:18, “Grow in the grace and knowledge of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity.  Amen.”

Going:  As we love Jesus more through our relationship with Him, the next step is to share His love with others.  We actively and intentionally seek to meet needs in order to share the gospel both in our community and around the world.

Matthew 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

We are a diverse community of people from all walks of life who come together each week to experience the power and presence of God. While none of us are perfect, we worship a God who is! Therefore, regardless of our past, our problems, our pain – we know that God is working to transform each of us into something better than what we are today. As He does, we soon discover ourselves growing, reaching, and serving!
