SWC is part of the General Federation of Woman's Clubs of North Carolina (GFWC), Statesville Woman's Club, Incorporated. 

The clubhouse is located downtown in the Mitchell College Historic District and is organized under the non-profit Corporation Act and shall operate exclusively for charitable and educational purposes in a manner consistent with chapter 55A of the General Statutes of the state of NC and Section 501c (3) or successor provision of the Internal Revenue Service.

Objectives of the GFWC of NC Statesville Woman's Club are:

-To stimulate, awaken and promote the educational, literacy, domestic and civic betterment of the greater Statesville community and abroad.

-To aid by its organized efforts, the needs of worthy causes. 

-To foster a generous public spirit in the community.

-To develop lasting friendships and enjoy fellowship. 

Membership is open to any woman who is in accord with the above objectives of this club.  The organization shall not discriminate against any person based on race, color, religion, national origin, disability, or age. It is recommended that a potential member attend two club meetings/events. The application of a potential member shall be submitted to the membership chairperson.  The potential member shall be sponsored by a club member. A potenial member becomes a full member upon payment of dues for the year and upon her agreement to abide by the Constitution and Bylaws of the Club.
