Hamilton High School East – Steinert Memorial, is a suburban high school of 1,625 students in Hamilton Township, New Jersey. Our philosophy espouses the belief that learning is a continuing process of growth. The education we provide is a collaborative effort of the students, the school and the community it serves.

Steinert High School annually honors Distinguished Scholars and National Merit Scholars. We offer Advanced Placement Courses in the sciences, literature, government and politics, history, mathematics, and world language. Our standardized test scores are consistently above the state mean and our graduates are accepted into several of the most prestigious colleges and universities in the nation. At our Senior Awards Night, our students receive numerous grants, awards and scholarships from local service and community organizations.

The faculty at Steinert is comprised of dedicated teachers, many of whom hold advanced degrees. They deliver a curriculum that is designed to prepare our students in each of the Core Curriculum Content Standards. We are cognizant of the importance of the State graduation requirements and have strategies in place to ensure pupil success. Several staff members have spent personal and professional time to enrich their knowledge attending workshops in instructional theory, cooperative learning, and technology application. Our students have benefited from the teachers’ efforts to gain recognition for our school through community outreach, academic competitions, student symposiums and festivals for the arts.

The typical Steinert student is involved in at least one school activity. Opportunities are offered for this involvement in service organizations such as Key Club, Interact Club, American Field Service, Unity Club, Ecology Club, Student Government, and world language clubs. Academic studies are complemented with extra-curricular organizations in computer science, literature, and journalism. The Mock Trial Team, Public Speaking and Debate Club and business education clubs offer a high level of competition for our pupils to sharpen skills as future leaders in their respective fields. Our outstanding music program is well known throughout the state. Student performances have taken place in New Jersey and in other states throughout the East. Our drama program showcases the many talents of our students in theater arts with yearly musical productions.

The parental support given to Steinert High School enhances the educational experiences of every student. We have several parent booster clubs behind our organizations and athletic teams. Our comprehensive offerings of twenty-one varsity sports represents an opportunity for students of diverse talents and abilities to become actively involved in competitive athletics. Our facilities are often used for the hosting of NJSIAA tournaments in all three seasons.

Our school motto states that education is a partnership between students, parents, teachers, administrators and other community members working together to promote the finest education possible for our students. Each day we try to live this motto, challenging the pupils to prepare themselves for a meaningful and productive future.
