We now have limited egg shares available in 3 or 4 month increments starting January 2011. A full share will consist of 1 doz. pasture raised eggs per week for the time period chosen. Each half share will consist of 1 doz. pasture raised eggs biweekly for the time period chosen. During the winter, the hens have limited access to the outside, but are well fed with vegetables grown specifically for feeding during the these frigid months. The egg yolks stay dark for the entire winter. These eggs are ungraded and are washed.

Stonewall Acres is offering a poultry CSA for 2010 (June thru October), and most recently added an Egg share that will be done in 4 month intervals Jan-Apr, May-Aug, Sept-Dec. We practice natural methods of growing our birds. That means they are put out to the pastures after they are done in the brooder. By then our goats and cattle will have had enough time to provide food for all the bugs the chickens love to feast upon. We are also offering a turkey as part of the CSA just in time for the November holiday. We have 9 acres in hay that will be available as well as a 1/2 acre garden full of wonderful items that you will see in our roadside stand and possibly at the Dousman Farmers Market.
