About Us:
Streator Elementary School District No. 44, an elementary school district of 1,560 students, serves the community of Streator, Illinois and includes portions of the LaSalle County townships of Eagle, Richland, Vermillion, Farm Ridge, Bruce and Otter Creek. The immediate area has a population of approximately 22, 260 people with 13, 899 residing in the city limits. Streator is located in north central Illinois, south of Interstate 80 and east of Interstate 39, and 100 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. The District maintains Three attendance centers: Centennial (2-4), Kimes (PRK - 1), and Northlawn Junior High (5-8). The District feeds into Streator Township High School.
