Located in the historic Catskill Resort Area of Sullivan County 110 miles from New York City. The area consists of four-season recreational facilities and activities; second home population; primary employment opportunities in tourism, agriculture, utilities, human services, and health services; also home of "A Day in the Garden" at Woodstock concert site (planned cultural and performing arts center.

Sullivan West Elementary, is located in the village of Jeffersonville, New York, and currently serves PreK through 6th grade for local communities. Campus facilities are composed of three interconnected buildings: the original building constructed in 1938, modeled after the reconstructed Governor's Palace in Williamsburg, Virginia, and registered with the National Register of Historic Places in 1988; an addition to the original building constructed in 1961, and a modern addition completed in 1994.
