Summer Mattersâ„¢ offers a continuum of innovative summer enrichment and remedial experiences for youth and young adults, ages 6-21. Summer Mattersâ„¢ operates three summer programs and operates respite programs for youth. Summer Mattersâ„¢ was incorporated as a division of Valley Forge Educational Services in 2008.

Summer Programs:

  • Summer at Crossroads: A comprehensive five-week academic and recreational program offered by VFES' Crossroads School for children entering Kindergarten through 6th grade that builds children's academic skills and enhances their self-confidence.

  • Summer L.I.F.E. (Learning is for Everyone): An experiential learning program for youth, ages 6-21, with and without special needs, that provides a varied cross-section of "real world" experiences allowing them to generalize academic, social and behavior skills across a variety of settings.

  • Extended School Year (ESY) Programming: A six-week program offered by VFES' Vanguard School for qualifying students, ages 6-21, that is designed to maintain skills and to reduce regression during the summer months by extending academic, social, behavioral, and vocational instruction based on students' IEP goals.

Respite Activities: VFES recognizes the importance of recreational opportunities for students when school is not in session.  Students and parents who seek overnight or school holiday recreational programming are able to register for new respite activities.
