My studio is a charming fieldstone summer kitchen built by German immigrants around the 1860's. It sits right behind our fieldstone farmhouse in a very inspirational setting of old farm buildings and my flower gardens. I can even hear the mooing of our neighbor's cattle when I work. My husband restored the summer kitchen building and turned it into my studio about 8 years ago. He used all old lumber and beams so it would look original (a fire destroyed parts of it). It really is very charming and I love working in it. I have an open house every year during the Cedarburg Arts Weekend which includes tours of artists studios (Sat. & Sun.) that are not normally open to the public.
