The Susquehannock Trail Club was formed in 1967 by eight hiking enthusiasts to lay-out, clear, mark, and perform the physical improvements of the Susquehannock Trail System. The trail club continues trail maintenance work and meets monthly for business and social activities plus annual events: Backpack Hikes, Summer Camporee, Harvest/Wild Game Dinner, Winter Frolic and a Christmas Party.
The STC schedules weekly day hikes from April through early November. Non-members are always welcome to participate. Cross Country Skiing, snowshoeing and river rafting and an oxxasional out-of-the area week long trip make up the club's interests beyond hiking and trail mantenance.
A friendly and diverse group, club members are young and old alike. Their interest very from hiking, to woodland management, to just enjoying the quite and peacefulness of nature.
