Nestled in the beautiful mountain ranges of Lake County, Sutter Lakeside Hospital was founded in 1945 as a 30-bed private facility. In 1992, the hospital affiliated with the not-for-profit Sutter Health.
The hospital serves residents of Lake County and surrounding communities and is a 25-bed critical access hospital. The critical access designation by the federal government ensures access to healthcare services for residents of rural communities. Sutter Lakeside is the only trauma center and certified stroke center in Lake County and is accredited by The Joint Commission.
