CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. A CSA establishes a direct relationship between a farmer and the consumer. Families purchase a share at the beginning or before the growing season begins, which helps to offset the farmer¢¯¿½?¢Ã¢ï¿½?ž¢s expenses for the growing season. In return, the family receives seasonally available produce delivered to a predetermined location every week for the growing season. When you sign up for our CSA you dedicate yourself to be our customer for the year and we dedicate ourselves to you as your farmer. You will share in the bounty of the growing season, as well as the unfortunate occasional crop failure. We strive to provide with the freshest and healthiest local produce possible. We have been farmers for over ten years and have a love for what we do and couldn¢¯¿½?¢Ã¢ï¿½?ž¢t imagine a growing season going by without us planting a crop.

¢¯¿½?¢ When you sign up, a deposit of half of your subscription is due. ¢¯¿½?¢ The balance is due by March 1. ¢¯¿½?¢ You may cancel by March 1, but you will lose a $30 administration fee. ¢¯¿½?¢ You must make arrangements to have someone pick up for you, if you will not be able to that week. ¢¯¿½?¢ You will not be refunded for produce not picked up at the designated time. ¢¯¿½?¢ We will make a weekly drop off in Rolla most likely on Thursdays between 4pm and 7pm, starting May 1 for a total of 24 weeks.

You will receive about 6-8 different types of fresh produce each week, that will fit into two or three grocery bags if you purchase a full share.

We are a small produce and cut flower farm that practices organic agriculture practices. We have sold at Clayton Farmer's Market and Columbia Farmer's Market over the past 10 years. We have also sold our produce and cut flowers to florists, restaurants, and grocery stores throughout Mid-Missouri. In 2010 we are launching a CSA for the Rolla and Owensville areas. We operate a 30 x 90 foot hightunnel year round with lettuce, arugala, and tomatoes, primarily. Sweetleaf Farm has hosted high tunnel tours for the University of Missouri Extension and is or has been involved in several grant projects that have included heritage wheat production, high tunnel production, heirloom tomato production, and horse powered agriculture.
