The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers
and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles
of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims
of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
The American Red Cross is not a government agency,
nor does the Red Cross receive funding from
the federal, state or local governments.
Our emergency services are free and made possible
by donations of time and money from the American people.
We provide emergency disaster assistance, First Aid/CPR and other health and safety courses.
