About Us
The Garden State Opera, was founded in 1999 with the purpose of offering quality opera productions at low ticket price in New Jersey. GSO offers fully staged opera productions with orchestra and projected titles and has performed in Passaic, Essex and Bergen counties with singers and musicians from the NYC metro area. The Garden State Opera has been performing in the Caldwell University Concert Series in collaboration with the College's Music Department from 2005 to 2017. For its programs presented in Passaic County, the Garden State Opera has received grants from the Passaic County Cultural & Heritage Council since 2003. The Garden State Opera is a 501 (c) (3) non profit charity and has received special grants from the Achelis and Bodman Foundation in 2016 and 2018 and from the LoConte Family Foundation.
