About Us:

The Lancaster Players is a volunteer-run non-profit organization dedicated to providing Community Theater with local talent. While the presentation of any theatrical production features the actors you see on stage, there are scores of others who enable the audience to enjoy an evening of live theatre. The key to our success is the volunteer force, people just like you who donate their time and varied talents to The Lancaster Players - on stage, backstage, on show nights and prior to the curtain going up.

Other than volunteers, our most prized possession is The Playhouse. While it was originally a fire station (the grey concrete floor with yellow lines to guide the fire trucks is under the new carpet), the Lancaster Players board is committed to continue the renovations that have been underway since late 2007. These renovations and the routine costs of running a small business are funded by donations, grants and seat sales.
