The Roxbury Congregational Church has its' earliest roots in the Congregational tradition from its founding in the 1700's. It later became a member congregation of the United Church of Christ. Congregational churches are Protestant Christian churches practicing Congregationalist church governance, in which each congregation independently and autonomously runs its own affairs.
