Who we are

United Baptist Church began in 1926 as the union of Cutts Avenue Baptist Church and Main Street Baptist Church.

We are a member church of the American Baptist Churches in the USA, a theologically moderate, yet evangelically oriented denomination in the Baptist tradition of about 1.5 million members with churches throughout the country. Our church has about 300 members with an average attendance on Sundays of between 120-160 during the "program year" of September through June. During the summer months, many of our parishioners attend the Temple in Ocean Park and we welcome many others who spend their summer with us as they vacation in the area. Our attendance in the summer averages around 115.

Although Baptist by history and tradition, our church membership is made up people from many different Christian backgrounds and we welcome all those seeking a church home or hoping to deepen their relationship with God and God's people.
