Baileyton, incorporated in 1973, is located on Alabama Highway 69 North, 15 miles Northeast of Cullman and eight miles West of Arab. Highway 69 intersects with Alabama 67 at the Baileyton Town limits. Huntsville and Decatur are both about 30 miles from Baileyton. Interstate 65 is 18 miles away. Birmingham is 65 miles from Baileyton.
Baileyton is a progressive community - always looking for ways to improve opportunities and quality of life for its residents. During the 1990's, several additions were made: a new Medical Clinic; a Pharmacy; Post Office; a new state-of-the-art Elementary School; a 23 acre Industrial Park; two new stations for the Baileyton Volunteer Fire Department; a new bank building; improvements in the 43 acre Recreational Park and extensive road improvements.
