The town of Lowell is located in the northern-most region of Vermont, just about 20 miles south of the Canadien border and the Province of Quebec. Route 100 bisects the town of 650 residents from north to south, as does route 58 from east to west.

The Town was organized on March 5, 1787 and is recognized for being one of Vermont’s largest townships. Located in the center of the Northeast Kingdom, the Lowell Mountains run through this area stretching 8 miles with about 20 mountain tops. You can enjoy the inspiring view of Hazen’s Notch from just about any vantage point.
