Our Church:

We, the congregation of Union Church of Belgrade Lakes, United Methodist, as people of God and followers of Jesus Christ, covenant to implement and further the Church's vision as follows:

We recognize that each person is important in God's sight and is created and unconditionally loved by God. We seek to mirror the inclusiveness of Jesus and to serve our neighbors near and far with love and compassion.

We reach out to all people and proclaim that indeed, "Everyone is welcome!" We open our hearts, minds, and doors to every person who wants to know God and experience the power of Jesus Christ, without regard to ethnic background, race, marital status, sexual orientation, age, gender, economic status, social standing, legal difficulties, religious background, and mental or physical ability.

We welcome all who seek spiritual growth to participate as fully in our church life as each feels called to do. All may experience the blessings of being a part of our community through celebrating in worship, receiving the sacraments of baptism and Holy Communion, being admitted into membership, participating in service ministries, and enjoying fellowship.

We pledge to further our own spiritual journeys and nurture each other through continued learning and through helping our community's children experience the love and lessons of Jesus Christ. We bring open and inquiring minds, and an appreciation that learning is enriched by diverse experiences and viewpoints within our midst.

We strive to let the light of Jesus Christ shine through each person as a beacon of joy and comfort to those around us.
