At Upper Township Middle School, we are fortunate to have some of the finest students and staff members in all of New Jersey. Our teachers take lead roles in meeting the individual needs of our students. Whether it is in the area of curriculum, special needs, student behavior, or professional development, our teachers demonstrate their dedication and compassion every day. Our students consistently rise to the challenges put before them by our teaching staff.
To help prepare our students for the future, our district has committed many of our resources to help our students meet the challenges of the 21st century. Nowhere is this more evident than the Middle School. We have invested in both technology and training to assist our teachers to ensure that our students will flourish in our continually evolving world.
The Middle School community is proud to continue our school-wide student behavior program called SOAR.SOAR stands for Safety, Ownership, Acceptance, and Respect. The SOAR Program focuses on defining, teaching, reinforcing and rewarding positive behaviors. The students and staff have worked hard to develop behavioral expectations for various school settings including the classroom, the hallway, the cafeteria, and the bus. The students are rewarded for exhibiting these identified behaviors.
